Ah, just two days away from my 22nd birthday! …as well as the New Year.
My New Year’s resolution is to be much thriftier and save up 6 to 9 months worth of living expenses in a fixed deposit (so my grubby hands won’t spend it!).
That means I’m limiting my purchases to the following:
- Food & Travel (especially for shoots)
- Cosplay costumes (which will be reimbursed by Cosplay Deviants)
- Lingerie for daily wear and shoots (my true size is 30A, so I require a few sets that I can wear comfortably)
- Corsetmaking materials in bulk e.g rolls of steels, boxes of grommets, several yards of coutil
In other, less stressful news, I received a lovely ribbon corset in gold silk dupioni with spot broche binding from JemCorsets!
I managed to season it stealthily under a pretty vintage dress…
I haven’t been training for over a week now due to my trip.
So here’s myself training again in the Josephine… new camera (Canon 40D) so forgive the wonkiness.
My tripod is too crappy to support this camera’s weight!
Oh and in case you don’t follow my Tumblr, check out these new photosets!
Not much anecdotes to share for today really.
After all I woke up at 3pm (like a champ, not!) while corseted in my Josephine overnight, which means definitely way past 12 hours of waist training.
I had my “breakfast” (which was leftover cake from last night, hey, don’t judge me, my sis read that it’s okay to have something sweet to start off the day to curb cravings later on) and then helped my dad flavour (and kind of “fix”) a stew he had cooked up. I think he attempted to wake me up at around 1pm but I must have fallen back to sleep.
Fun fact: My family uses my palate to flavour things they cook up, apparently I know how to make things taste better. 😛
I had my Josephine on for most of whatever was left of the day and took it off later in the evening.
Most of my day consisted of getting my client’s corset done.
Notice I didn’t put up a picture of myself in the Josephine. I feel that there’s going to be little progress in the images since I have it closed or nearly closed most of the time now.
I’m going to being changing into the Josephine again right after this.
That’s all for Day 6!
I spent of yesterday (Day 4) corseted in my Josephine with a 1.5″-2″ gap as I spent most of the morning/noon sewing 25% of a client’s corset.
I forgot to eat my lunch and my work productivity started to cease. For a moment, I thought I was just caught up with the blog but the fact that I did not upload this post in a timely manner says otherwise.
My ribs get a little sore after very long periods of corseting (but not painful, more like workout tiredness, which doesn’t hurt you) so what I’ll do in between changing these corsets is rub and massage my torso, back and ribs with my knuckles.
I did another tight measure at my waistline before putting on my next corset.
Then came the time to season the C&S pipestem in the evening. Normally an hour in the pipestem feels best for me, loosening it over time.
After the hour was up, I switched over to my green taffeta cincher by Fiorella Corsetry.
And to finish things off, I went to sleep in the Josephine again, almost completely shut.
Once again I had the Josephine on for 12-13 hours, including sleep time. After taking it off, I decided to measure my waist around the floating ribs again.
I had a shower and got myself into the pipestem.
I’m planning to do some pilates at around 4pm or 5pm once I remove the pipestem (it’s still seasoning).
More updates later tonight!
It’s annoying when PMS bloat makes the underbust way tighter than it should be…
