Ah, just two days away from my 22nd birthday! …as well as the New Year.
My New Year’s resolution is to be much thriftier and save up 6 to 9 months worth of living expenses in a fixed deposit (so my grubby hands won’t spend it!).
That means I’m limiting my purchases to the following:
- Food & Travel (especially for shoots)
- Cosplay costumes (which will be reimbursed by Cosplay Deviants)
- Lingerie for daily wear and shoots (my true size is 30A, so I require a few sets that I can wear comfortably)
- Corsetmaking materials in bulk e.g rolls of steels, boxes of grommets, several yards of coutil
In other, less stressful news, I received a lovely ribbon corset in gold silk dupioni with spot broche binding from JemCorsets!
The lining is lovely too!
I managed to season it stealthily under a pretty vintage dress…
It gives me a soft, slender silhouette, instead of an “extreme” one.
I haven’t been training for over a week now due to my trip.
Comic Fiesta ftw.
So here’s myself training again in the Josephine… new camera (Canon 40D) so forgive the wonkiness.
My tripod is too crappy to support this camera’s weight!
I think I need to stick to the good ole nasty compact camera for these……
Oh and in case you don’t follow my Tumblr, check out these new photosets!

It’s my dad’s 60th birthday and I decided not to be a total party pooper to wear a corset to a scrumptious dinner.
But nevertheless I did train earlier in the day!
As usual, I wake up in my Josephine, go out and have breakfast it in. Though I made the grave mistake of wearing it with an underwire bra so now my sternum is aching…
Later when I am home, an hour in the C&S pipestem.
The lacing gap enrages me.
And something else for a change!
This corset was bespoke and fitted with a mock-up. It fits to my asymmetry thus the straight gap in the back.
I decided to use my Sparklewren to waist train a little as it is an extreme hourglass. In the past, using this for training is a little tough as it obviously can’t be hidden under clothing due to the spiky embellishment. But now that I work from home, this is no longer an issue!
I’m hoping to invest in a few more corsets in the coming months, hopefully I could stabilize my finances (I’ve applied for a writing job online) in time to do so.
Otherwise I may end up making my own from leftover materials from working with clients.
Which isn’t a bad thing.
Anyhow, I leave you with a picture I took of my parents:
I just ate breakfast, hence the large gap. I’m pretty glad this one stays quite straight while laced up. Thank you Jenni Hampshire for making adjustments to the corset to make it fit my freakish body!
I already have plans to model this alongside Black Filigree Couture (neck corset and pasties) and LoLeviLa (lace panty) some time in June 😀
Here’s what I shot for Instagram today:-
